Welcome to the Arts for Learning Studio

Founded in 1952, Young Audiences Arts for Learning (YA) is the nation’s oldest and largest arts in education learning network, serving approximately 5 million children and youth across the country each year. The Arts for Learning Studio is an active space for exploration, where learnings, resources, and stories may be shared from projects that span our YA national network.

Resources

Our national activities have yielded a library of activity plans and video exemplars, created by our community of teaching artist leaders, which can be filtered by program and art discipline. Try them out and share your own strategies, too.

Reflections

Hear directly from fellow practitioners: teachers, school leaders, and teaching artists share their key challenges and takeaways from the arts-integrated classroom. Dig into our research findings from teaching artists and evaluator partners.

“This has completely shifted my perspective on teaching. It’s one thing to be a good artist, and totally another to be a good teaching artist. The RAISE program has made me a much, much better teaching artist, and I use the perspective and knowledge every time I am in the classroom.”
